CECSF Club History
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE FIRST MEETING
The meeting was held on Saturday, February 21 at the home of Bob and Beth McKinney in Redmond following an Open House social. There were 18 adults and 3 juniors present. The name cascade was agreed upon and Beth McKinney agreed to serve as President Pro-Tem and Lynn McLemore, Secretary Pro-Tem. It was decided to meet again on May 1, coinciding with the Whidbey Island/Olympia show weekend. A By-Laws Committee of three was appointed consisting of Lorrie Kvamme, Chairman, Evelyn Cole and Virginia Boylan. Virginia Boylan agreed to try to design an membership application blank which was straightforward and include all the information required by the American Kennel Club. Beth McKinney was appointed to collect suitable material for a library. Debbie Hoffman was appointed to look into field activities. Carol Richter volunteered to design a Logo and Club Letterhead. Yearly dues of $10 per couple were agreed upon. June 5, 1976 was set as a date to hold a Fun Match and Obedience Trial with Ruth Tabaka the unanimous choice for judge. It was agreed that we should make an effort to support three or four area shows per year with trophies and entries. Discussion pertaining to a Code of Ethics was tabled temporarily.
